The Drowsy Chaperone is a five-time Tony-award-winning parody of American musicals from the Jazz Age. When a musical theater fan tries to cheer himself up by listening to a recording of a fictional 1928 hit musical comedy, he is transported into the show-within-a-show, which incorporates mistaken identities, dream sequences, gangsters and a tipsy chaperone.
