Memorial City is hosting the 52nd Annual Worldfest-Houston International Independent Film Festival. Since 1961 Worldfest has celebrated creative excellence and new cinematic talents, and was among the first festivals to recognize now-iconic directors like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Ridley Scott, David Lynch, Oliver Stone and many others.

Tim Disney, grandson of Roy O. Disney, will debut his newest film, William, as the opening night premiere, and more than 1,000 international filmmakers from over 54 countries will attend the world premieres, short-film screenings, seminars, receptions, and award ceremonies during the 10-day event.
