The Mayor's Holiday Celebration and Tree Lighting, presented by Reliant, is a holiday tradition of music, Santa, fireworks and family fun. A towering Holiday Tree, glowing with energy efficient LED (light-emitting diode) lights, shimmering ornaments and a stunning star topper will light up the streets of downtown Houston this holiday season.
American R&B, pop and gospel recording artist and former member of Destiny’s Child, Michelle Williams, will headline the show, which will also include a performance by SVET, an electro hip hop violinist as seen on America's Got Talent, and Houston’s own SoReal Cru, a hip-hop dance group from the second season of America’s Best Dance Crew. Rounding out the evening will be the Shlenker Star Singers and appearances by costumed characters from the Houston Ballet.
