Mayor Annise Parker, Houston Endowment president Ann Stern and a group of arts leaders, donors and friends will gather at 3400 Main St. in Midtown to kick off construction of the MATCH – the Midtown Arts and Theater Center Houston.

The MATCH will be a multi-venue arts facility where Houston-area arts organizations will exhibit, rehearse, perform, educate and hold offices. Designed by the architectural team of Lake/Flato and Studio RED, the facility will feature a large theater, four flexible performance spaces, exhibit and classroom/meeting spaces, a spacious gallery, more than 6,000 square feet of office space for resident arts organizations and a coffee shop and wine bar.
