The Mariago Collective will present The Seven Deadly Sins & Life’s Episodes, an exhibition curated and created by Lynet McDonald, which explores two themes that are of great interest to the artist..
The artist chose to do this series because in her art, she prefers to focus on displaying the intensity and extremities of life. This is reflected in The Seven Deadly Sins, which displays the extremes of humanity. In Life’s Episodes, the artist will display dark feminist pieces incorporating symbolism that recreates intense episodes in her own life. She uses art to cope with life’s twists and turns, pouring her emotions into her paintings and drawings seeking catharsis. As the artist has often stated, “My art is my diary”.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through February 12.
