Mildred's Umbrella Theater Company is producing Margo's Veil, the story of a down-on-her-luck young actress who abandons New York City for home.
She detours on the way and winds up on a journey that moves in and out of reality and involves an assortment of unlikely characters, from a blind Lithuanian girl to the proprietor of a salon specializing in illegal brain transplants. Director Phil Hays compares the play to the work of David Lynch, if he wrote classic radio melodrama.
Bring three nonperishable food items to the Dec. 10 performance for $5 admission. The food drive will benefit the Houston Food Bank.
