With more than 200,000 people attending last year's celebration, this year's Mardi Gras! Galveston will include eight new parades in the Uptown Entertainment District, 18 parades in total, five masked balls, 13 balcony parties and 26 concerts.
Mardi Gras! Galveston will be gated and tickets are required for Fridays and Saturdays. Unlike previous years, the first weekend of week-long plus celebration will be designated as the main event for parades and entertainment, including headlining chart-topping band, Neon Trees.
A family day on Sunday, Feb. 27 will feature a family-friendly parade led by The Sunshine Kids.
