Bringing acclaimed artists from around the country, the Magnificent Seven Ice Sculpting Competition puts the creative skills of ice masters to the test. They use chainsaws and blow torches to transform icy blocks into artful masterpieces. Some of the sculptors will include last year’s champion, Buddy Rasmussen of Team Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and the current holder of the Texas Ice Fight Champion title.
Timeline
10 a.m. - Ice Sculpting begins
3 p.m. - Judging, featuring celebrity judges Walter Odermatt (Houston's 1st ice sculptor) & Alice Connelly, president of Ice Crafters, and 1 special celebrity judge.
4 p.m. - Awards and People's Choice
4:15 p.m. - Performance by Reverend Butter with Downfall 2012 on Anheuser-Busch Stage
