Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival 2015

The Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival will include its first ever Easter egg hunt with 20,000 eggs, including an egg drop via helicopter. The festival, organized by Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation and Houston City Council Member Jerry Davis, will also feature a variety of family activities and entertainment, including live music, a Kids Zone, a housing fair and health screenings.

The helicopter drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. and the hunt for goodie-filled, plastic eggs will start immediately after. The Kids Zone will include pony rides, trackless train, interactive play area and arts and crafts stations.

The festival will encompass the entire 3700 block of Lyons Avenue. Traffic will be blocked to accommodate the festivities.
