Eco-friendly Houston-based fashion designer Luisa Nadarajah is creating a collaborative and communal wearable art project in the form of "The Homage Collection" Fashion Show. This event pays homage to people who donated unwanted fashion goods from people who passed away. It also pays homage to locals with disabilities, from a partnership with “Celebration Company Non-Profit.”
They have created some of the print artwork on the looks that the 15 models will be wearing. Another relevant partnership is with another local nonprofit called “Connect Community” that employs and trains refugee sewers and seamstresses.
