Purple Songs Can Fly, a partner with the Periwinkle Arts In Medicine program at Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Centers, is a nonprofit that provides a much needed musical avenue of expression for children being treated for cancer and blood disorders. Anita Kruse, the organization’s founder, will be releasing a children’s book with the illustrator, Lisa Sheinbaum, in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The book, which will be launched by LongTale Publishing, is dedicated to children all around the world who have ever been touched by cancer and other life threatening illnesses.

Patrons will have the unique opportunity to “Get a book, give a book!” For every copy of Purple Song purchased, one copy of the book will be given to a child going through cancer treatment.
