The Lone Star Symphonic Band will perform its annual holiday concert, titled “Glory in the Highest.” Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner has designated December 10 as Lone Star Symphonic Band Day. The Morton Ranch High School JaZZ’d Choir will perform several selections with the band during the concert. Dr. Richard Crain, President of the Midwest Clinic, will also conduct two pieces during the concert.
The selections slated to be performed at this concert include: A Christmas Festival, Sleigh Ride, Old Scottish Melody, Irving Berlin’s Christmas, A Menorah Medley, Laughing All the Way, and Minor Alterations. Santa Claus will be making a visit during the concert as well, and will be available for pictures afterwards.
