The Lone Star Symphonic Band will open their season with “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Pieces to be performed feature genres and styles both bold and beautiful, including John Philip Sousa’s “Manhattan Beach” march, Richard Wagner’s moving “Elsa’s Procession to the Cathedral”, guest conductor Dr. Richard Crain, a guest harpist as well as a surprise soloist during Leonard Bernstein’s poignant piece “Maria” from West Side Story.
