The "Story of the Thirsty" Water Walk will give children and their families the opportunity to take a simulated journey through a Liberian jungle, as if they were on a walk to collect water. Along the way, walkers will try to fill up their water container as they encounter various obstacles and learn facts about children living in communities without proper hygiene, sanitation, or clean water.
The "Story of the Thirsty" Water Walk is free, but registration is required on the website, open until March 24. Donations are appreciated. Only children under the age of 16 need to be registered, not adults accompanying them. There will be no mass start for the water walk. Participants are welcome to start anytime between 8:15 and 9:30 am.
