Lewis & Maese Fine Art & Antiques Auction


This auction features more than 330 unique lots, including fine art and antique furnishings from the estate of the late Lt. Commander, U. S. Navy, Melvin Huebel, the late antique dealer Don Yarton and the late Ken Lay.

Highlights include a 1943 Fernand Leger silkscreen, a 1926 Tamayo watercolor and many other works from the 1600s through the 20th century. Other notable artists include Henri Matisse, Warhol, Agam, Miro, Salvador Dali, Suzanne Nelms and Leroy Neiman.

Also for sale will be a large collection of 19th century English furniture from Fulbright & Jaworski, 18th and 19th century French furnishings and tapestries, a selection of Chinese porcelains, an exceptional pair of 18th century silver metal Italian mirrors, a pair of 18th century carved and gilded Baroque mirrors, rugs, chandeliers and estate jewelry.

Bidders can preview auction items on Aug. 22 and 23, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Aug. 24, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., after which the auction will commence.
