The Levy Park Conservancy is holding a Grand “re-opening” for Levy Park with an all-day event that promises something for everyone and every age. It will be an opportunity to showcase this urban park which should prove to be a destination for families from throughout the metropolitan area, as well as out-of- town visitors. Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off the celebrations. The day will culminate in a live music performance by Grupo Fantasma on the Pavilion.

At the celebration, expect to see programming that covers a wide range of areas: health and fitness, food and horticulture, performing arts, music, poetry and spoken word, literacy, natural science, animal rescue. You can hear a piano concert and other music and experience face painting, interactive displays, workshops with local organizations, gardening demos, food trucks, dance, yoga, and much more. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. Pets on leash are welcome. The event is rain or shine.
