A SMART Rescue, Cleo the Cat and polkabeat.com are combining their passion for animals and polka music to host a polka fundraiser for homeless animals, "Let's Polka for Pets Slavic Dinner and Dance."
Doors open at 6 p.m. Slavic dance lessons by Valina and Ross of Das Ist Lustig begin at 6:15 p.m. Dinner is at 7 p.m. and dancing, with music by the Grammy-winning Brave Combo, will start at 8:30 p.m. and last until midnight.
Proceeds will be used for the ongoing construction of A SMART Rescue's small, private sanctuary in Conroe.
