Lecture & Workshop: Mythic (W)riting

eventdetail

Lecture: What Are Myths? What Are Personal Myths?
Explore how myths are not simply stories or narratives, but deep sources of energy that structure and motivate personal experiences. Narratives are the visible surface of great pools of psychic energy. What lies deep within the narrative is a core myth, a source of power that structures and fuels the psychic experience. The lecture is on Friday, 7:30-9 p.m.

Workshop: Mythic (W)riting
Experience the deep structure of myth in this workshop. The process of riting — the conscious evocation of deeper mythic patterns through longhand writing — will allow guests to uncover some of the core elements of their personal myth. The workshop will approach a handful of the many selves that comprise the psychic and mythic structure. No laptops please. Bring a journal and a favorite pen. The workshop is on Saturday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
