Lecture by Paul Hester: Houston’s Silent Garden: Glenwood Cemetery, 1871-2009

2010 AIA Houston Artist of the Year Paul Hester will talk about his process for making the images for the book Houston’s Silent Garden. This book tells the story of Glenwood Cemetery’s historic landscape, from its creation to its present day life.

Paul Hester teaches in the Department of Visual and Dramatic Arts at Rice University. He is a graduate of the Rice School of Architecture and the Rhode Island School of Design. Since 1966, Hester has lived, studied and worked mostly in Houston.

A reception and book signing will follow the discussion.
