Ernesto Daranas's debut feature Behavior has impressed audiences by taking on taboo topics and revealing the less picturesque realities of life in Cuba. Eleven-year-old Chala (Armando Valdes Freire) lives with his mother Sonia (Yuliet Cruz), an addict who provides for the two of them by raising carrier pigeons.
