Morton Auctioneers and Appraisers host a Latin American art auction featuring the work of a variety of modern and contemporary Latin American artists. The selection of works allows collectors the opportunity to select pieces ranging from more traditional Mexican school artists such as José Chávez Morado to Argentinean artist Antonio Berni. A work on paper by the influential modernist European immigrant Mathias Goeritz will be offered. A large oil painting by Fernando García Ponce will represent the Mexican Ruptura generation. The Cuban Vanguardia will be exemplified by several Mario Carreño pieces. Wilfredo Lam's silver fish, an Animalia series bronze by Roberto Fabello and Equilibrista by Jorge Marin will be the highlights of the sculpture section.
