Set in a rural Maryland town, How I Learned to Drive, Paula Vogel’s Pulitzer Prize winning play, explores the relationship that developed between Li'l Bit and her Uncle Peck during her formative teenage years. Although the play is ultimately about self-­discovery, it examines the basic humanity that binds the two characters. Cleverly conceived with three Chorus members playing her family and the rest of the people in her life, the play is poignant, daring and often surprisingly funny.
