Lakewood Brewing, maker of Temptress, the number one craft stout in Texas, will relaunch in the Houston market with a happy hour at Heights Bier Garten featuring founder Wim Bens. Partnering with Favorite Brands to bring their “seriously fun beer” to Houston craft shelves, the family-owned brewery will be pouring Temptress Nitro, French Toast Temptress, Muy Importante, Watermelon Queen, and Mechanical Donut.
Bens, a Belgian native, founded Lakewood 10 years ago after having discovered home brewing and a passion for craft beers. He applied to the American Brewer’s Guild and graduated, shifting his career to opening the widely popular production brewery, which today includes year-round and seasonal line-ups now sold statewide, as well as a Dallas taproom and beer garden.
