Kinetic Ensemble and Frame Dance Productions will close their ninth season by exploring the role of play within the ensemble. In collaboration with Frame Dance artistic director Lydia Hance, the program invites an interplay between music and dance, culminating in a celebration of optimism and togetherness.
This program is curated by Tonya Burton, violist, and Patricia Ryan, cellist. Selections will include Viet Cuong: Next Week’s Trees (2021), Paul Wiancko: Toy Bricks (2012), Caroline Shaw: Valencia (2012), Jessie Montgomery: Voodoo Dolls (2008), Kenji Bunch: The Still, Small Voice (2020), and Jennifer Higdon: Dance Card (2016).
