Kiehl’s Since 1851 opens its second Houston-area skincare store at The Woodlands Mall on May 8 and to celebrate, it will give each person who donates items of nonperishable food to the Houston Food Bank a tube of lip balm. Kiehl's president Chris Salgardo will open the store at 1:30 p.m. with a ribbon cutting. Michael Cordua will sell and sign his book Cordua: Foods of the Americas, donating a portion of the proceeds to the food bank. Chef David Ortega will demonstrate and serve his favorite dishes from Americás Woodlands including Kiehl’s featured ingredient, avocado. The first 50 guests will receive a Kiehl’s mystery gift card; values range from $10 to $500. Also on tap: complimentary healthy skin consultations, 20-minute facials, and a raffle to win a Kiehl’s Gift Set valued at $250.
