Kevin Holden's "Soulstice"

eventdetail

"Soulstice" is an evening of ecstatic movement, music, lighting and performance in The Silo, an apocalyptic concrete shell where art cars retire and go to die. "Soulstice" is a designed experience created by Kevin Holden, Houston-based scenic and lighting designer, where the audience takes center stage as performance art.

Expect a wild multimedia art orgy, complete with tribal drumming, a mud pit, body painting and dancing. Bring a percussion instrument, cash and leave any fine wearables at home.

Doors open at 7 p.m. Music also starts at 7 p.m. The first section of the presentation will occur shortly after sundown. The second section starts 15 minutes later and the third, about 15 minutes after that.

Holden is a recipient of an individual artist grant. This grant is funded by the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.
