Moores Opera Center presents another live, in-person opera experience, Albert Herring, with music by Benjamin Britten and libretto by Eric Crozier.

In a small British village, the hunt is on for a young girl innocent enough to be elected Queen of the May. When none are found, poor Albert is enlisted as May King instead, with unexpected and entertaining results. An ensemble cast of delightful English eccentrics proves that repression is rarely a good thing, and that lemonade turns out to go surprisingly well with a little rum.

The opera will be sung in the original English with projected text over the stage.

The production will also be livestreamed.
