In 1925, deep in the heart of Texas, 12 determined women founded The Junior League of Houston, Inc. with the mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. These women forged a path forward so that almost 100 years later, the Junior League’s outreach efforts still focus on critical issues. Today, in 2021, the Junior League of Houston is thriving, with deep roots and a vibrant presence in the community. This year, the Junior League’s members, patrons and donors will return home to the League after spending the past year apart.
To celebrate, Charity Ball will be filled with long-standing traditions like the annual Junior League member performance and raffles. Tickets include a three-course gourmet meal, premium wine pairings, access to the silent auction, and whiskey tastings. Attendees will also enjoy specialty cocktails and live music from The Grooves Friday evening and the Honky Tonk Revivalists Saturday evening.
