In Dialogue With Imaginary Viewers, abstractionist Veronica Dyer frees her mind of conventional art to create a balance of rough textures and collage with recyclable materials. Her work reflects on divisions of space, organic forms and the subtle visual relationship with the viewer.
Born in Venezuela, Dyer has resided in the United States for 14 years and became a citizen in 2010. She comes from generations of artists, taking her first art class from her grandfather at age 13. He painted figuratively, but she soon discovered her preference for abstraction and the freedom it offered.
On view through April 29.
