Best Laid Plans is an exhibition of collages by Houston artist Russell Prince. Found materials, aged elements and dusky colors dominate Prince's work, which explores the effects of time and change on the environments and the battle between modernity and nostalgia. The collage works of the cubists and Dadaists have served as inspiration along with such influences as tattered billboards, archaic textbooks, global warming, and memories of his great-grandmother's deteriorating Victorian home.
On view through Nov. 26.
