Frolick Henderson is a Houston native who now lives in the rural hill country near the Guadalupe river. The collection of works displayed in the showroom, Frolick in Bloom, were created specifically with mid-century modern design aesthetic in mind.
The majority of the pieces are thickly layered in encaustic and resin and oil paint. Some precious stones such as jasper can be found collaged alongside strips of fabrics such as burnt orange sequins and rubber fishnet.
Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display through July 31.
