FC 1 (Fire-Color 1), considered to be one of the most important Post-war European works of art, combines each of Yves Klein's major strengths and philosophical ideas. All of the artist's signature elements are included, such as fire, anthropometry, international Klein Blue and pink pigment.
Joseph Reinholtz will pay homage to FC 1 by recreating his version of the painting live. Reinholtz will use the same fire, anthropometry and pigment elements to recreate FC 1 in front of a live audience. The event will be followed by a live auction. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Houston Food Bank.
