Following the merge of the JDRF Houston Gulf Coast, San Antonio-based South Central, and Austin chapters, the newly formed JDRF Southern Texas Chapter presents its first-ever unified event, the Inside Out OneParty.
The unified virtual celebration, hosted by Drew Dougherty of Texans TV, will also feature entertainment by the great Kenny Loggins. With an infinite number of seats at each table, JDRF encourages supporters to invite their friends and family to enjoy the event from the safety of their home, but guests will also have the opportunity to host their own viewing events with the help of JDRF. This includes full-service in-home celebrations featuring waitstaff, passed hors d’oeuvres, salad, entrees, dessert, champagne, and red and white wine from A Fare Extraordinaire.
The theme of the event, “Inside Out,” reflects the new chapter’s creativity and resilience in adapting to new circumstances by turning traditional events inside out. Similarly, the theme alludes to the Pixar film where different emotions work together toward a common goal. In the same way, each of the host cities has its own unique persona that plays an important role in the overall personality of the Lone Star State, and Space City along with Alamo City, their weird sibling at the state’s capitol and every town in between, will commit themselves to making type one type none.
