Izakaya in Midtown is hosting a Summer Rosé Festival, complete with music, a raffle, specialty cocktails and more. The event will benefit the Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC), a non-profit organization which provides shelter, counseling and advocacy for women escaping sexual and domestic violence.

Izakaya will open its newly refurbished patio for a party focused on the true wine of summer, Rosé. Wine representatives will be on hand for free sampling and more of the wine will be available for purchase. For those who have a nose for parties, but not so much for wine, the restaurant, which is known as much for its imaginative drinks as for its acclaimed food, is creating a menu of specialty cocktails for purchase as well.

There will be a DJ providing music, a photo booth for making keepsakes and more fun and games. Rebecca Mason of nearby Fluff Bake Bar will be on hand with samplings of her unmatchable wares. Izakaya will also be proving a selection of free appetizers.

To help raise additional funds for HAWC, there will also be raffle tickets sold for $10 each for chances to win prizes and gift cards from a variety of restaurants.
