The iWRITE Literacy Organization present a virtual celebration of 100 newly published authors and illustrators, featuring special guest Matthew McConaughey, a Texas native, Academy Award-winning actor, and recently published author of Greenlights.
During the virtual event, viewers will enjoy readings from their Editor’s Choice Recipients, hear from an astronaut and McConaughey, and meet the newly published students. Deborah Duncan, host of Great Day Houston, will join as the event emcee.
The event will celebrate the diversity of published students from all parts of the world while raising awareness about iWRITE’s mission to build student confidence through writing. Funds raised by the event will support iWRITE’s in school and after school writing programs as well as plans for expansion.
