Houston children’s author and iWRITE Literacy Organization Founder Melissa M. Williams will release the third and final book of her Turtle Town Series, The Golden Boy, to teach kids about endangered species and environmental conservation.
Guests of the Turtle Town release party will have the opportunity to win prizes and interact with a real snap shell turtle, which inspired the fictional character. There will also be bookmarks, turtle treats, refreshments, turtle tattoos and activities.
While celebrating the book release, guests can explore the four-acre park grounds of The Nature Discovery Center. A portion of all book sales on the day of the event will go back to the Nature Discovery Center.
