Ivy and the Wicker Suitcase is an illustrated ear movie musical, a unique visual art and musical collaboration from Austin. With illustrations and prints by Valerie Fowler and words and music by Brian Beattie, the original cast recording features Bill Callahan, Daniel Johnson and Grace London. This evening of entertainment features Beattie telling the tale and singing the songs from Ivy and the Wicker Suitcase, accompanied by Fowler's Crankie Show, a live low tech hand drawn music video of sorts that Fowler cranks along while Beattie sings the corresponding songs.

The illustrations will be on view through Dec. 10.
