The Menil Collection presents the work of artist Steve Wolfe, who for the last 20 years has created objects and drawings that combine material culture, intellectual history, and personal and collective memory. Wolfe paints such objects as books and records in a trompe l’oeil style. The exhibition will focus on the artist’s works on paper, most of which combine aspects of drawing, collage and printmaking. It is the fourth exhibition in The Menil Collection’s series, “Contemporary Conversations,” which highlights work by living artists in the collection.

Wolfe, Franklin Sirmans and Carter Foster will participate in a  panel discussion at 6 p.m. on April 1. The exhibition will be on view from 7-9 p.m. on April 1 and continue on display until July 25.
