The traditional mass and the writings of St. Francis of Assisi combine with the languages and musical styles of the melting pot culture that is the Caribbean in Glenn McClure's St. Francis in the Americas: A Caribbean Mass. This musical tapestry showcases the diversity and artistry of International Voices Houston - 130 singers from over 30 countries who speak nearly 40 languages. Conducted by Mark Vogel and accompanied by Paul Butt on piano, the 14‐movement work features percussion and the steel drums of The Texas PanArt Ensemble.
