The Tapestry Gala celebrates Houston's great diversity in service, culture and faith traditions with guests of many different religions and backgrounds. Brigitte & Bashar Kalai are the 2019 Tapestry Honorees and Rabbi Roy A. Walter is the Spirit of Respect Honoree. This year IM is also celebrating 50 years of Dialogue, Collaboration & Service to the community.

The event benefits IM, a non-profit organization that brings people of diverse faith traditions together for dialogue, collaboration and service. The organization provides many services to the Houston area including: Meals on Wheels for Greater Houston, Refugee Services, Interfaith Dialogues and Volunteer Houston.
