Australian born, Pater Carey is a critically acclaimed author of 11 novels and the second writer to win the Man Booker Prize twice, the highest literary award of the British Commonwealth and Ireland. His latest novel, Parrot and Olivier in America, explores opportunities, class distinctions and societal structure through Alexis de Tocqueville’s American journeys. The reading is followed by an onstage interview, book sale and signing.
