David Wroblewski penned the New York Times best-selling novel, The Story of Edgar Sawtelle because he wished he could read a book about a boy and a dog “flavored with the uncynical Midwestern sense of heart and purpose so familiar from my childhood."
The novel tells the story of a young mute boy growing up on a dog breeding farm in Wisconsin, and was chosen for Oprah's influential book club.
