The inaugural Open Mic Thursdays at Waldo's in the Heights feature two Houston based bands: Lisa's Sons and Another Run. This interactive get-together starts and ends before most open mic events begin in the city. The setting is perfect to give the performer the best possible listening showcase of new and original material.

The host, Tania Rivas, has won Best Open Mic in the Dallas Observer for Open Mic Mondays at the Fallout Lounge in Expo Park.
