Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival: Daniel Hege conducts Miraculous Mandarin

eventdetail

The Immanuel and Helen Olshan Texas Music Festival showcases classical music's rising stars in more than 30 performances. Based at the University of Houston's Moores School of Music, the one-month international music residency program continues with maestro Daniel Hege in a program of music that should be played more but isn't.

That would be Nielsen's Symphony No. 4, Britten's Sinfonia da Requiem and Bartók's Miraculous Mandarin Suite. There's sex involved in the latter. It's a naughty story.
