This program concludes the collaborative Menil/UH Art History class designed to gauge the effects of the Atlantic slave trade in the visual culture of Nigeria and Cameroon, among them: masks, sculptures, religious rituals and architecture. Moderating the discussion are Menil Curator for Collections and Research Kristina Van Dyke and Kairn A. Klieman, associate professor of African History at the University of Houston.
