Houston's outdoor skating rink returns this Thanksgiving Day at Discovery Green. From Skating with the Stars on Mondays to Santa on Saturdays, the ice rink offers a different theme for each day of the week. The rink opens Nov. 25 and closes on Jan. 18. Generally, the hours of operation are 4 p.m.–10 p.m. Monday through Thursday during the school year and 11 a.m.–11 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and school holidays. The site provides a separate list for official holidays such as Christmas and New Year's.
The following weekly programs will be offered:
Mondays at 6 p.m. – Skating with the Stars
Tuesdays 7 – 9 p.m. – Jazz on Ice
Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. – Zumba on Ice
Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. – IKEA Houston’s Silver Screen at Discovery Green
Fridays 6 – 8 p.m. – Cool Tunes Hot Ice
Saturdays at 5 p.m. – Land Rover Skating with Santa
Sundays 12 – 4 p.m. – Holiday Green Market
