The Houston Zen Center celebrates the 25th anniversary of the founding of the Houston Zen Community and the 10th anniversary of the founding of the Houston Zen Center in The Heights. The festivities include an opening ceremony, games and a raffle drawing, and a buffet lunch at noon.

From 1 to 3 p.m., HZC members will host a rotating series of interactive breakout sessions on practical topics such as Zen and Parenting, Zen and Housekeeping, Zen and Gardening, Zen and Design and Socially Engaged Buddhism, as well as a general Introduction to Zen. There will also be opportunities for socializing, yoga and meditation.
