This activity, designed to entertain the entire family, exposes the audience to folk and classical music from around the world. Solos and ensembles including piano, violin, Chinese traditional instruments, oboe, trumpet and other instruments were chosen from a field of 350 entrants at Houston Young Artists’ concert recent auditions. These superbly trained young musicians dazzle the audience with their expertise and charisma. To encourage music making the program includes a segment of audience sing along. Because all the musicians are less than 18 years old, young people in the audience can identify with them and are inspired to make music a part of their lives.
