The Houston VIP Poetry Slam and Workshop Series is a platform for poetry to take stage in a competitive and interactive experience for the audience. The event starts with a writing workshop led by a professional writer, followed with talent battling it out for a spot on the Houston national team. Both the workshop and the slam are open to the public.

In addition to the slam, the event features touring poets such as Masterpiece, whose invigorating words are sure to entertain.
