As a composer, Marvin Hamlisch won virtually every major award: Three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, a Tony and three Golden Globes. On Broadway, he wrote the music for one of the longest-running shows, A Chorus Line. On the big screen, he had more than forty motion picture scores from The Way We Were and Sophie's Choice, to his adaptation of Scott Joplin's music for The Sting. Songs like "What I Did for Love" and "Nobody Does it Better" prove that Marvin Hamlisch truly was "One" singular sensation.
